CA OHMVR PROPOSED RULEMAKING IS COMING AGAIN!!

 

 

 

The OHMVR Division is proposing revisions to the Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program Regulations.

 The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking was submitted to the Office of Administrative Law on August 18, 2009.

 The Public Comment period begins on August 28, 2009, and ends on October 12, 2009.

The OHMVR Division will host two public meetings to receive comments on the proposed Regulations. The meetings are scheduled as follows:

THE 2008/2009 GRANTS AND COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS PROGRAM State Parks, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division announces the Final Awards for the 2008/2009 Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program. All funding categories are final.
 The OHMVR Division will begin to prepare and execute project agreements which sets forth the terms and conditions of each project.

The Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program provides for well managed off-highway vehicle recreation in the State of California by providing financial assistance to cities, counties, districts, federal agencies, state agencies, educational institutions, federally recognized Native American Tribes, and nonprofit entities. The Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program supports the planning, acquisition, development, maintenance, administration, operation, enforcement, restoration, and conservation of trails, trailheads, areas, and other facilities associated with the use of off-highway motor vehicles, and programs involving off-highway motor vehicle safety or education.

In 2009, $27.1 million will be available for distribution among four funding categories:
